I really hate those buzz words. Not that there is something wrong with them per see, but their are used without definition so much that sooner or later they are really emptied of their content. This will be a unvolunteer compliment to Honesty, but transparent to me is exactly that... Honesty.

The first time I used the word transparency was in my thesis back in the spring of 2007 (and no, it wasn't in economics, it was in rhetorics). Back then I hadn't heard anyone talk about transparency (though I might unconsciously heard it and remembered it). Today everyone talks about tranparency, but it is becoming a cliché since nobody defines it anymore. It's like the word freedom. Doesn't everybody want it, but what does it really mean?

I don't know what I am trying to say, but I guess it made my happy somehow to actually see somebody use the word with a definition. There are far too many meaningless buzz words out there today. My contribution is to beg everyone not to use them lightly, and preferrably not at all. If you haven't got a good definition, then use your imagination and use another word.
