“Google to bid for wireless spectrum“.
This headline, as technical and dull as it may sound, is actually quite dramatic. If Google is to control the 700MHz spectrum, it will have control of the most sophisticated and powerful wireless network in the US. And since the Google way is all about information openness and server side media and apps, and that is where I see us all going in the future, my view is that a Google win may push the US way ahead of the rest of us in terms of technical development. Interesting.
