Tomorrow IKEA will open a power napping hotel in Gallerian downtown Stockholm. It’s free and all you need is 15 minutes and a little technique.
I’m thinking this might be a good time to reprise my power napping school a few posts back, so that you won’t have to buy one of these.
Here we go:
1. Be a proud power napper. This will get you the necessary napping frame of mind, and will also widen the range of napping spots available to you, since you really don’t need privacy.
2. Set your alarm to fifteen minutes. NOT MORE! Trust me on this one. Fifteen minutes will make you wake up with tons of energy, while longer naps will only get you tired and confused. Another benefit is that you always HAVE fifteen minutes. If you don’t have the time to nap you have to make time for being tired and ineffective.
3. Realize that falling asleep is not necessary. Fifteen minutes of sleepless rest will also work wonders for you, and the lack of pressure will make you fall asleep anyway.
That’s it. See you in fifteen.
