It’s been an interesting weekend. Friday night was kicked off in the recording studio, followed by fantastic oysters and Champange at Pontus and, not least, tunnbrödrulle and pucko at Tullfritt. Can’t beat that combo. From that the evening escalated with a party at the photographers agency Adamsky. “Everyone was there” is an accurate description. It was not until 1.30-ish that we moved on to Berns and Spy Bar which concluded a full-on head-first party night.
Saturday went on in a similar fashion. Jazz-brunch at Mosebacke had me prepared for another night on the town. A wedding reception with no less that 8 nationalities represented was my main Saturday event. A Swedish groom living in LA and a bride from Taiwan was the foundation of this mini United Nations-gathering. On the way home in the cab my autopilot went on, steering me unwillingly to 2.35.1. Couldn’t help myself. Celebrating Saurabh’s latest Nöjesguiden-award for his work with the club felt great. Again, congratulations Saurabh! Very well deserved. It was another great night that didn’t end until 6 in the morning.
Sunday is brunch-day, and what can be better than doing Sunday brunch at Elverket with a really good old friend. A long walk in the sunny weather got me thinking about Joy Division and the new film about them, Control, by Anton Corbijn. I got an instant urge to see it and phoned in ticket reservations. After sending out a swarm of SMSs I had a late night movie date planned. Before going I spliced in a two hour over-a-Staropramen-talk with my best friend Sara to sort out our thoughts on philosophy and life. I can’t imagine a better Sunday. Or weekend.
I slept very well last night.
